User Data Deletion

Instructions for deleting your QuotyAI data, including data received via Facebook Login / Messenger integration. Last updated: September 10, 2026

1. Quick summary

  • QuotyAI account holders (businesses): delete data yourself in the portal, or email [email protected].
  • End-customers who messaged a business Page: contact that business directly — they control their QuotyAI knowledge base. We will help the business complete your request.
  • Completion time: deletion or anonymization within 30 days of a verified request, unless law requires longer retention.

2. Delete data in the QuotyAI portal (fastest)

  1. Sign in at portal.quotyai.com.
  2. To remove connected Facebook data: go to Inbox / Channels → Facebook Messenger → Disconnect. This revokes the Page token on our side and stops further sync. You can also remove the app under Facebook Page Settings → Linked apps.
  3. To delete knowledge-base content: open the relevant assistant / business entity → delete skills, documents, or conversation history.
  4. To close your account: use account settings, or email [email protected] from your account email with subject "Delete my QuotyAI account".

3. Request deletion by email

Send an email to [email protected] with:

  • Subject: "Data deletion request"
  • Your account email and business / Page name
  • What to delete: full account, a specific Facebook Page connection, specific conversations, or specific documents
  • If you are an end-customer: the name of the business Page you interacted with and approximate date of conversation

We verify the requester's identity, confirm scope by reply email, then delete or anonymize the data within 30 days and send a completion confirmation.

4. What gets deleted

  • Account profile, business entities, knowledge-base documents and skills you asked us to remove.
  • Stored Facebook Page tokens, Page IDs, and synced Messenger conversation history for disconnected Pages.
  • Associated logs that contain personal data, subject to short-term security-log retention.

What may be retained:

  • Aggregated or de-identified analytics that cannot identify you.
  • Records we must keep by law (e.g., billing records) or to resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

5. Facebook Data Deletion Callback

If you removed the QuotyAI app via your Facebook settings, Meta may send us a Data Deletion Request (a signed_request to our callback endpoint). Our handling:

  1. We validate the signed_request using the App Secret.
  2. We locate data linked to the Meta user ID / Page scopes in the request.
  3. We delete or anonymize that data within 30 days.
  4. We return a JSON response with a confirmation_code and a status_url (this page) so Meta and the user can verify completion, per Meta's Data Deletion Callback requirements.

Users can always check deletion status by emailing[email protected] with the confirmation code, or by following the manual steps in sections 2–3 above.
